Hey everyone,
Today I wanted to remind you that fear in a social setting is absolutely normal and in many ways, we’re great beings because of this.
Fear is a potent motivator that has gotten us very far as humans and has kept us safe from potential dangers that may have shortened our existence.
Obviously, in our modern society, these natural tendencies of defaulting to fear may not be as useful for our survival as they used to be. It definitely sucks when our fears seem to be holding us back from greatness instead of protecting us from something important.
So because of this, the first step to overcoming these fears is to embrace their existence. We must be grateful that they exist within to keep us, and our loved ones, safe.
Secondly, we must be mindful that our fears are not who we are. We must not fall into the habit of identifying with this evolutionary mental wiring. The fear is there but it doesn’t define us at all.
Action:
Make a list of fears that commonly grace your mind.
Note down why you’re fearful of these things.
Ask yourself which ones you have control over.
Do what you can to be less fearful of aspects that you have control over.
Understand that fear is a learnt habit that you can overcome for the fears you have no control over.
When we write down, reflect and meditate over our fears, we can stop feeling like they’re obstacles to overcome and instead, start feeling like they’re friends that are there to motivate us to do the right thing, when we need it.
I hope you have an amazing week ahead and let’s keep getting stronger mentally and physically 🙌🏾

Arun.....A subject which everyone gets around.
Liked it, and whilst reading itself my mind is trying to recall the fears I experience.
Very well written Arun.
