Appear More Charismatic: 3 Simple Tweaks
Hey everyone!
So I’ve put out 5 podcast conversations with others and I’ve been doing a lot of analysis on how I conduct them + how great interviewers and interviewees do it too.
While doing so, I noticed 3 areas I needed to actively work on:
Be more present while someone talks. This allows me to react appropriately and improve my connection with them while in the moment.
Reduce filler words such as '“uhh” and “like”. It makes me sound less sure of myself even though that’s not true. I’ll just pause when necessary. There’s no harm in taking time to think. It actually might make the conversation much better.
Ask strong questions that enable others to share what they’re passionate about. People like to talk and they will appreciate that I appropriately set them up for it.
Regardless of having a podcast, all of us can become better conversationalists and appear much more charismatic to whoever we’re talking to by working on each of these elements.
They’re also well within our control. You just need to keep practicing and be self-aware as much as possible
There is no need to change how we look or seek any other unsustainable changes.
I urge you to work on your charisma because it will help you sell yourself better. Many of you are great products but horrible marketers. And because of that, other people don’t truly get to experience your greatness.
So work on your charisma with me, influence others positively, and get more of what you want.
Have an amazing week 💪🏾
